Abbott CheckNOW™ HIV Self Test Kit – HIV-1/2 Antibody Test

The Abbott CheckNOW™ HIV Self Test is a rapid, single-use HIV screening test designed to allow individuals to test themselves privately using a small fingerstick whole-blood sample. The test uses 3rd-generation blood-based HIV testing technology to qualitatively detect antibodies to HIV-1 and HIV-2, with results available in approximately 15 minutes. It is designed for manual use by lay users without requiring a laboratory analyser. The CheckNOW HIV Self Test is WHO-prequalified, and importantly for a Healthhub® listing in Nigeria, the product also appears in the NAFDAC Greenbook with active status, under registration number A3-100871.
