The 35 × 35 cm X-Ray Intensifying Screen is a radiographic accessory designed for use inside a compatible 35 × 35 cm (approximately 14 × 14 inch) X-ray cassette. It converts incoming X-ray photons into visible light, which exposes compatible radiographic film more efficiently than direct X-ray exposure of the film alone. The intensifying screen is positioned in close contact with the X-ray film inside the cassette.
